Good evening. Welcome. Do you have a reservation?
Buenas noches. Bienvenidos. ¿Tienen una reserva?
Recibir y ubicar a los clientes
- How many are in your party? ¿Cuántas personas son?
- Would you prefer a table inside or outside? ¿Prefieren una mesa adentro o afuera?
- Right this way, please. Por aquí, por favor.
- Here are your menus. Your server will be with you shortly.
|---|---|
| Ofrecer bebidas | Can I start you off with something to drink? |
| Preguntar si están listos | Are you ready to order, or would you like a few more minutes? |
| Confirmar un plato | So that's the grilled chicken with a side salad, correct? |
| Preguntar punto de carne | How would you like your steak cooked? |
| Dar un tiempo | Your food will be ready in about fifteen minutes. |
Confirma siempre los cambios y los acompañamientos. Una frase como Let me repeat that back to you evita errores antes de enviar el pedido a cocina.
Alergias, ingredientes y cambios
No adivines ingredientes. Si no estás seguro, di Let me check with the kitchen for you. Estas frases son especialmente útiles:
- Do you have any food allergies?
- This dish contains dairy and nuts.
- We can make it without onions.
- I will let the kitchen know about your allergy.
Un cliente puede preguntar Does this contain nuts?.

- Would you like the check now, or are you still deciding on dessert?
- I will bring the card reader to your table.
- Thank you for coming in. Have a great evening.

- Wait. Mejor: I will be right back o Let me check that for you.
- The kitchen made a mistake. Frente al cliente, céntrate en resolver: I am sorry about that. I will fix it.
